#17 - World Party - Goodbye Jumbo - 1990

I first heard this album in an open field near a marina on a summer day. A friend had a boom box with four speakers...each had a letter painted on it: L.I.F.E. From those speakers I was introduced to Karl Wallinger's masterpiece of ecclecticism. There are definate Beatles influences at work here, but the former Rocky Horror Picture Show musical director certainly adds his own musical genius. Goodbye Jumbo just makes me feel good and brings back memories that are as varied as the albums songs themselves.
Key Tracks: Way Down Now, Put the Message in the Box, And I Fell Back Alone

I'm likin' this pick. It would be in mine, too.
